Description
ALL PURPOSE, ORGANIC GARDEN FRASS
Bug Life contains high concentrations of Nitrogen (N) responsible for plant growth and regeneration, Phosphorous (P)Focuses energy on strong root development and flowers, fruit and seeds, Potassium (K) enhances overall growth and keeps the plant balanced and Healthy. Combined with the healthy mix of trace elements, this makes the perfect natural fertiliser for all plants grown indoors and outdoors.
What makes Bug Life really special is chitin, the naturally discarded exoskeletons within the frass. BSF chitin is the only type of chitin that is digestible by plants.
When your plants have been exposed to chitin they start to produce a chitinase enzyme. This triggers a defence response in plants against a host of unwanted visitors, pests and diseases. This systemic defence mechanism created by the chitin acts as a natural bio repellent.
How to use Bug Life Insect Frass Entocompost.
Bug Life should always be used as a top dress, sprinkling a thin layer over the surface of your pot or around your plants. This is pure, unmixed, 100% concentrate BSF entocompost therefore small amounts will give great results.
House Plants / Cacti / Hanging Baskets.
The general rule is to top dress your pots, the watering of the plant then filters the goodness into the compost. As a guide we would recommend using 2-5% Bug Life in your existing soil or compost.
Existing Plants, Shrubs and Trees (including Ericaceous).
Mix or dig in Bug Life around the base or top dress and then repeat regularly throughout the growing season. As a guide we would recommend using 100ml per square meter.
Propagation /Potting on/Seedlings.
It is not recommended to plant or sow directly into pure Bug Life due to the high NPK values. Once your plants are fully established, again we would recommend using 2-5% Bug Life in your existing soil or compost.
